DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

Okay, so i was surfing around on various D-link web sites and found out that there is a RevB1 and a RevB2. Hmmm very interesting so what is the difference. Well of course the site that tells you about the two versions does not tell you what the difference is. So i googled around and found nothing on the B2's, So the next step was to call D-Link tech support and hope that i get someone who spoke ENGLISH and know what the difference were. (Yeah right i'm asking for alot). Well i got lucky someone who spoke ENGLISH and didn't know that there was a B2 so she put me on hold and ask around and came back with this "well the B1 uses the Ralink wireless mini pci card", "(Not Sure, the B2 uses the Atheros AR5002 wireless mini pci card and it's WIFI-Certified)". First thought was wow is there an issue with the Ralink card or is it cost, only D-Link knows. But there is a Firmware available for the RevB's units that contain both Ralink and Atheros Card Drivers, Still same version number 1.02. (Site does not mention if its US or EU version, So be careful.) Good news for me I have the Atheros AR5002 card in my laptop so I can give it a try and see if there is any improvements on the wireless side. Hmmm maybe I'll get better performance out of it ( I hope ). Either way i'm still at work so i won't be able to try this until i get home. I'll post my results here when i'm done. If someone wants to beat me to the punch, have at it.
