Ports question

I have set up vsftpd, and changed the default port to something non-standard.  I never could connect after that, and after scanning the 321 from a windows machine on the lan I see that no extra ports are open (only the standard ssh, ftp low ports, etc).  How do I open ports in fun-plug?  Sorry for the newbish question, but its just different enough from other linux distros that I normally cant make a google searcdh work well for me.

Re: Ports question

Maybe the daemon is not running at all. You could ssh to the device and use "netstat -tlp" to check which process is listening on which port.
