.lpd erase

I was trying to solve a printing problem, so I erased the .lpd folder from Volume_1.
Furtheron I am installing a new printer on a local port and so on but everything fails to print.
Does anyone know how I can bring back the .lpd folder?

By the way the actual problem was that despite setting up the printer correctly, it stopped working after 3 days or so. If anyone has any ideas,
please share your thought.

I am an XP user and the printer is a CP1700.

Thank you,

Re: .lpd erase

How can I create a system .lpd folder with the appropriate contents (5 files originally in)?
Thank you in advance
