How to mark hard drive "not new" after manually rebuilding RAID 1?

I am struggling with a simple issue- I needed to replace a failing HDD in DNS-323 and felt more confident using the dd to clone the first 512 bytes of the good drive onto a new one (this copies the partition table).
Then using mdadm I mirrored the disks and /dev/md0 is fully operational and in sync.

The only issue I have is that every time when the web interface is launched it detects a new drive and wants to rebuild the RAID1.
After skipping the new disk prompt the RAID1 is correctly detected and mounted automatically in the web interface.

So the question is how can I let the system know that it is not a new disk anymore and stop the prompt?
