Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

After upgrade FW to 1.10b5 (also have fun_plug) I have little trouble with Samba. It looks like every restart clear some config files becouse I can't mount disks under Windows. I need to go to admin web panel Advanced -> Network Acces and save each time settings to make it work. I just click on edit icon, then Save Settings and everything is ok. Where is the problem and how to resolve it?

I've been having the above symtom for the last couple of years (as have others: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=14522.0). After every reboot of the 323 (FM1.08) I can map to it fine for a couple of minutes, then it 'disappears'. Folks talk about Master browsers on the network causing the problem. I've found no fix (that I can understand) except the workaround you describe.

IF you're problem is caused by the master browser you should be able to get past it by mapping the drives using the ip addresses of the NAS, that is assuming you have it at a fixed ip address.
Instead of mapping to //<name-of-NAS>/share, map to //<ip-of-NAS>/share.

Thanx for answers. I've figuret it out by making a backup of proper woring smb.conf file and making a script which starts with fun_plug and restore the copy each time my DNS power up. I was not aware of master browser issue, but Samba was working when I tried device IP over the device name. Anyway now both ways working, the DNS is starting maybe 10 seconds longer but it's fine for me. I don't make changes to Samba configuration very often so it's good way for me.
