Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has tried to get Plex going on a dlink 323, as it is now Linux friendly?
http://www.plexapp.com/labs/
I am currently using mediatomb on my dlink, but would really like something with a better interface and the ability to download episode/movie synopsis and cover art from the web... Just to make it look better..
Has anyone any ideas whether this is possible?
(hopefully without too much pain)
Cheers,
B

Yeah I know that the specs are listed above the dlink capabilities, but we know the dlink can't transcode ANY video, let alone 1080p. I'm assuming that the serving of video, without transcoding, should be possible -- after all, the dlink can do it with mediatomb and other such software..
I am more interested in getting something with a nice 'look' ... as mediatomb is a little bland.
I like the idea of having a nice database of media, where the synopsis and cover-art is automatically scraped from the net and displayed with the media.
If this can be done with mediatomb, I would be more than happy to stick with it, I have no problems with the performance. As I said in the OP, I'm more after a change in appearance.
Cheers,

Hi Guys,
Check this out. Plex have a version out for arm processor. But i guess will need to install debian squeeze on the NAS to make it work.. Anybody free enough to try can confirm this?
