I'm wondering if the new WD 3TB hard drive will work. Anyone tried it? Apparently there is a 2.19TB limit in most OSs without a special HBA or certain driver workarounds. According to this review (http://www.storagereview.com/western_di … d30ezrsdtl) it works out of the box in Synology DS411+ and a QNAP TS-459 which are both linux based.

Yes I bought a 3TB without checking, and after the DNS323 formatted the drive, only 2.2TB is available. FW is 1.09.

Try beta 1.10. Perhaps it is better then.
