anacron ? (for rsnapshot)
dns323 with funplug/optware is used to backup some laptop using rsnapshot/rsync.
dut both devices are online on an irragular base only.
Is there an anacron-implementation or a similar service ?

anacronism ( http://mythtv.mlaronson.com/home/anacron ) seems a good alternative for anacron based on cron. (Thanks, Marc !)
This provides a solution to use rsnapshot to backup local(nas-) and remote (notebook-)paths:
(1) use anacron to run (nas-)local daily/weekly/monthly rotating backups and to set a flag to trie to backup remote notebook
(2) use cron to check if notebook is online and do backup if flag is set
