Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I have a DNS-323 running firmware version 1.06. I had it all up and running great with fun plug and was using it to back-up my stuff. I was very happy this site gave me the confidence to try and set up a home network storage.
Anyway I may have went overboard on security and put only the host name of my mac in the allowed hosts file. Anyway I updated my Mac's OS and during the process I changed the Mac's host name. Now I when I telnet, ftp, or ssh into the DNS-323 I get a connection refused error. I can ping the DNS-323. I can access the DNS-323 through the web interface and see the settings and other parameters in the D-Link web user interface. I took the disk out of the DNS-323 and placed it into my Linux computer. The data is all there and the disk is functional and the data is readable.
How do I get back into my DNS-323? Can I update firmware to 1.09 and will that restore it to factory defaults and remove the extra host restrictions? Can I add files or make modifications to the disk and then just put it back in the DNS-323 to re-enable telnet?
I would prefer to get back into the DNS without having to reinstall fun plug but I'm willing to start over and reinstall the fun plug if thats what it takes. Thanks in advance for the help.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks! BJBY!
Sorry I didn't get to this sooner but I had a busy week. I ran that command on the file while the disk was in my linux box. I put the disk back in the DNS-323 and I was up and running again. Awesome!
