Broadband50 is too fast?

So I live in Canada and recently upgraded to Shaw's Broadband 50 internet for the big bandwith cap and 50mbps+ download speeds. Testing my bandwidth on my desktop PC I can pull a steady 6MB/s on a well seeded torrent however Transmission on my DNS323 can only pull a stead 1.2MB/s with peaks at 1.8MB/s on the same torrent.

Does anyone know what I can do to remedy this? I am willing to look into a new NAS if the problem is the DNS323 is too slow; so if that is the case can anyone recommend one that would be able to do Bittorrent, Samba, and upnp to PS3/online?

Re: Broadband50 is too fast?

unfortunatly its the cpu of the DNS 323 it has not got the capacity to go any faster, i see the same kind of thing

but to be honest, the NAS does exactly everything that you want to do, with SAMBA, Tansmission + UPNP server, why not wait the extra few minutes/seconds

Re: Broadband50 is too fast?

I thought that was the case, just hoping I could fix it with something I missed in a setup or something. Does anyone know if the Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ would have enough horsepower? or something else?
