DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

I have been working on finding a solution to this problem in the past few days. My DNS-320 just arrived a few days ago, and I am so far very much enjoying it. I like the hackability of it, and the performance has been good. I'm posting in the DNS323 thread because it applies to this system as well.

I have so far setup Transmission + Automatic as my autodownload for torrents (I mostly watch TV shows). I have thus far tried the default UPnP server and also Twonky 6.0.32 as media streaming servers, and have been able to stream with some success to the PS3. Of course, the PS3 will not natively play .mkv, but I do have Showtime on my jailbroken PS3 which plays .mkv files from USB (thus far no success in streaming over the network).

I was able to setup an autodownload and auto-unrar script (through some googling) and when I unrar it to a directory that is streamed, an avi with an xvid video stream works flawlessly. However 99% of the TV shows I watch are h264 video streams with AC3 audio packed in an .mkv; remuxing to mp4 or mpg is easily done in Windows with one-click tools like mkv2vob and avimkv2mp4, but I want the whole thing to be done without a computer. I want the ability to autodownload, autoextract, and remux (automatically?) the tv show from .mkv to a PS3 compatible format. Remuxing should be all that's necessary for most TV shows, and it's not really a CPU intensive task, so I'm hoping it will be possible to do all of this.

Either that, or is there a way to get Showtime to properly stream .mkv? Maybe I'll ask on the showtime forum...
