New Install Completed

I am using XP Pro.

I purchased 2 DNS-323 and 2 Seagate 750 MB ST37506NS drives.  I had previously read this forum and was aware of certain configuration issues.  I also read the D-Link FAQ's before installation.  I installed 1 drive in each NAS.  They came with Firmware 1.01.  I used the Easy Search Utility and the NAS was found immediately.  I formatted the drive with Ext 2 and completed the installation.  You cannot update the Firmware without a finished install.  After the NAS was up and running I created a Group first and then a User.  I updated the Firmware to 1.03 and reformatted the drive.  At this point I could not recognize the NAS.  I removed the the drive, powered up the NAS empty and then downed it.  I replace the drive and everything is swinging perfectly.  I did the same thing the the 2nd NAS and followed the same routine.  It is now swinging perfectly.

I did notice that the Easy Search Utility would not map the 2nd NAS.  I just used the Map function in Windows Explorer and it worked perfectly.
