Re: Change firmware

You're saying there is a problem with Pyload yet you don't give us any other details.

I upgraded the firmware directly through the D-Link interface and it worked just fine.
Didn't lose any data but I have my HDD's as JBOD.
If you want to be safe, always have a backup.

I had gotten into a tricky situation but after reading the documentation 10 times smile I sorted out.
After the initial setup I went ahead and set the proper timezone.
I couldn't log in after that but in the end, I set the time right through ssh.

I would highlight this in the documentation as it might save a lot of time to others, as well.

Cheers!

And Alt-F uses a rather old python. There is a topic regarding that issue.

Please state what was not clear, so I can improve it.

What was not working? Does your Continent/City appears in the list? Or you have to change the timezone? Can you elaborate?

Anyway, the "couldn't login" issue, related with incorrect date/time will be fixed for the next release.

Please say how/where.

Re: Change firmware

After the initial setup (passwords, shares, etc.) I went through all the menus again then I saw the timezone was not correct.
I changed the timezone to match my location but I didn't notice the clock changed accordingly.
So when I tried logging in again through the web interface it didn't accept my user/pass because the clock on system didn't match the one on the NAS anymore.
So I made it work by changing the time on the NAS through a telnet session.
It was ok after, I was able to login again through the web interface.
