I'm using the latest RC1 with 1 x 500GB Hitachi and 1 x WD EARS.
I don't have a printer connected, why all the printing errors?
I'm trying to copy ~500GB from a Windows XP client but it gets disconnected every hour.
The error message on the Windows box says "Can't write to..." target.
What's causing the errors? Thanks!

I attached the HDD to another system and I'm getting the same errors after copying files for a while.
Here are some more messages, maybe someone can explain what's with all the errors:

Those are not errors, are info or harmless warnings.
Watch or post the "System Log" to see errors.
For a faster "service" please use the Alt-F google group

Here is an update: the problem happens after copying large files and the copying process had been running for a while.
I think it might be related to CIFS.
When copying over FTP, everything works fine.
I found others with similar CIFS issue:
http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic … mp;t=51497
How can this be fixed?
Thanks!

While the printcap are not errors, they do tend to fill the log. I added:
[global]
printcap = /dev/null
to the global section of /etc/samba/smb.conf to tidy it up...

Can this be done through the web interface? How do I do the changes to smb.conf?
Thank you!

No it can't be done through the web interface. Just edit the /etc/samba/smb.conf and add that line to the global section at the top, save it, save settings (either through the web or the cli) and restart samba... the printcaps will no longer show up...
