Re: Install package from outside source??

This is out of my control, it might be a minidlna bug or some other problem with Alt-F libraries.

I'm assuming that the reported files with problems had worked before.

You can only try to remove and rebuild the database.
At the command line:

rcminidlna stop # stop minidlna
rcminidlna status # repeat until it reports it is stopped
rm /var/log/minidlna.log # remove the log
rm /var/lib/minidlna/files.db # remove the database
rcminidlna start # restart, it will rebuild the database

For a faster "service", please use Alt-F google group

Please consider discussing Alt-F at http://groups.google.com/group/alt-f/topics

Re: Install package from outside source??

Hi jcard

is it possible to install the open source Plex media server to your firmware?  http://www.plexapp.com/

i see it has a couple of NAS ready files, dont know if any will apply with your firmware

it is a good server works with Android phones, Google tv and iOS devices plus DLNA stuff (basic) i believe

please let me know, as i still cannot get mindlna working fully

Thanks SO much, if you can get this working i will definately be sending another donation your way

love your work

EDIT: Nevermind, i found a media player on Google TV that plays from SMB, works perfect
