Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Howto shutdown when in chroot environment?

Hi,

my fun_plug is automatically chroot'ing into a debian image.

All works very well - except that I cannot power down my dns by any means.

The physical button on the device doesn't work anymore.
The "Shutdown" command in the webinterface doesn't work anymore.
"touch /tmp/shutdown" doesn't work anymore.

How can I power the thing off without damaging the filesystem?

Cheers,

All that is handled by the chkbutton process. Can you verify it's still running?

Code:

/ # ps auxw | grep chkbutton
 1519 root chkbutton
 9353 root grep chkbutton

Re: Howto shutdown when in chroot environment?

Must have been a temporarily glitch.
After I rebooted (unplugged power) everything is back to normal. chkbutton is there. Shutdown works again.

*shrug*

But thanks for the hint with the chkbutton - didn't knew that.
