Depends on the "home" network, and perhaps the firewall/router you're using. My home network is not your average home network (did I mention I work from home ?), so I don't have your average consumer grade gear.

OK, thanks...I have a simple consumer-level w/a Netgear pre-N WNR834B wireless router, and there aren't any settings in its config that talk about VPN, so I always assumed I couldn't do it at home. Your comment about VPN made me wonder if I was wrong about that...

well up to now my wireless connection is holding, so its working. Thanks for all your help.
I do however have to first enter:
net use * \\192.168.0.32\volume_1 /user:*myname*
after which I can map the network drive through the wireless. Anybody know why this is?
