I've upgraded to the latest version of transmission (2.42), provided by Kylek (http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2719)
I've started downloading torrents, and the hangs have reappeared: the DNS stops responding to anything (no web interface, no FTP, no SSH, no telnet...) I can only shut it down, and put it on back again...
then it starts working properly until the next hangs.
I've reported this problem earlier, but I couldn't find what was the solution -if any was found

Isolate all the services that are running and try removing them one at a time until you find what is causing your problem.

OK... the problem had stopped for a while, and now it's back!
I've had to start Dlink in USB mode to see what the problem could be (no way to start it in terhnet: it would hang at the begining)
It seems that the folder .transmission/torrents got corrupted at some point (I don't know why): with Windows, no way to open the folder ! I've had to use total commander to delete it anyway and re-create the folder
So I've deleted the folder and all the torrent inside, and then I've started back in Ethernet: now it starts normally, and I can upload the torrents back
So it could be a corrupted torrent, or for some reason, transmission messes with the file system!

I've had this issue occasionally as well. It seems to occur after having run for several days with a lot of transmission usage. Resetting via the Web Interface has been my 'hammer' method of resolving.
