Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi all,
I've succesfully installed (fun_plug) FFP 0.7 on the DNS-323 NAS of my younger brother. Also got nzbget and nzbgetweb working.
Now I would like to have SickBeard on this nas. Unfortunately there is no Python source for the DNS-323 (oabi) for download. Does anyone have it compiled for the DNS-323 and is willing to share it with me (and others that are searching?)
I've tried to compile it myself with a online tutorial, but I've seen very strange error messages. I'm no computer beginner, but definitely not a linux guru. After the compile nothing worked anymore and I had to install all FFP and NZBget source all over again. I would not like to have to do that again..
Places that i've searched for the right sources:
ffp.inreto.de/ffp/0.7/oarm
http://dns323.kood.org/howto:ffp
http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ ... /0.7/oabi/
I've tried this sources, but they were not in the oabi folder:
http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ ... -arm-1.txz
http://ffp.inreto.de/ffp/0.7/oarm/packa ... oarm-1.txz
They seem to install normally, but when I want to start SickBeard like this: /ffp/bin/pythonx.x SickBeard.py, I am getting the following error: "Illegal Instruction"
This happend also when trying to install Cheetah or any other python package.
For myself I have a NSA320 NAS (ARM packages) and got everything to work with help of R0b1n, also a member of this forum. But it's the DNS 323 NAS that I am working on right now. Strange that there are no python packages available for the OABI.
Anyone has these sources for DNS-323 or anyone that could compile them?

It seems that python 2.7 can't be compiled for arm /oabi according to this: http://forum.nas-central.org/viewtopic. … amp;t=5659

Hmm that's not cool..
But i guess that SickBeard is running also from python version 2.5. Maybe that version IS possible to compile?

Strange thing is, that python (don't know which version) IS available if you use Debian Linux funplug. So in my opinion it must be possible to compile it for the FFP0.7. With the version in Debian it is possible to run SABnzbd (source; tutorials on internet), so SickBeard must not be any problem.
The fact is, that I would like to use FFP0.7. I tried Debian but it became a mess, also I could not find an suitable nzbget version for Debian.
And for ARM, python 2.7 IS available. I'm running it on my NSA320.
Anyone?

SickBeard and CouchPotato both run from 2.5, along with SABnzbd. And I believe that's available for 0.7. Be warned, it's a little slow, so don't expect swoosh speeds, but it's not unbearable either.

Do you have a link to the source files that you are talking about?
Have you got this working yourself?
Thanks!

Found one!!! Uploaded 24-may-2012, so looks like a new source.
Got SickBeard running now on the DNS-323!
For the people that are also looking for the python2.5 source: http://kylek.is-a-geek.org:31337/files/ … oabi-1.txz
Only thing that I have, is that Sickbeard gives me a warning:
You don't have the C version of NameMapper installed! I'm disabling Cheetah's useStackFrames option as it is painfully slow with the Python version of NameMapper. You should get a copy of Cheetah with the compiled C version of NameMapper.
"\nYou don't have the C version of NameMapper installed! "
I have installed gcc and uClib sources, and tried reinstalling Cheetah, but no avail.
Nothing serious though, it's running fine but maybe one of you guys knows what I am missing here?
