I wonder if it would be possible to install funplug on a linux based computer?

if yes, how, on what version of linux?

I would like to have an equivalent of my nas on an old computer I have... :-)

thanks

Re: funplug

ffp is custom for dns-xxx. But the same software packages exists on all common linux distros.

What software do you need?

You can try ubuntu-server http://www.ubuntu.com/download/server . It's pretty common and demand little HW resources. It is commandline only same as dns-323.

Re: funplug

I think you (OP) are confused as to what funplug really is. It is not an O/S. It is essentially a framework and collection of packages built for the DNS323 (and other compatible) devices.

3 * (DNS-323 with 2 * 2TB) = 12TB Running FW v1.08 & FFP v0.5
Useful Links: Transmission, Transmission Remote, Automatic
