Uninstall that curl and install the one from fonz' repository: http://inreto.de/dns323/fun-plug/0.7/oa … oarm-1.txz

Also, "Transmissions-2.61.oabi.txz" is not a package I compiled. Mine is called Transmission-2.61-oabi-1.txz.

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

How can I install this 2.61 version on Debian Squeeze (DNS-320)?

Because when I do the apt-get install transmission-daemon I get a 2.03-2 version.

When I try to do get the apt-get -t experimental install transmission-daemon I am getting a library dependency not available for DNS-320.

I already tried to compile the 2.61 from source, but I got an error on the compiler.

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

This is a package for funplug, not Debian Squeeze.
You need to ask whoever is doing the Transmission package for Squeeze to release an update.

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

Create a directory /ffp, and extract fun_plug.tgz in it. (0.7/arm). Then run /ffp/bin/sh (as root) and you can install uwsiteloader. Use it to add KyleK's repository, and use slacker to install transmission.
Start it by running

Code:

/ffp/bin/sh /ffp/start/transmission.sh start

Hi KyleK, any chance you've found the time to compile 2.71 ?  Thanks for your builds!

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

I actually DID find the time, yesterday, to compile Transmission v2.71, for all 3 platforms no less! The packages have been on the server since then.

I just forgot to tell you guys about it smile

So, go ahead and grab the new release, download links are in the first post, as always.

Enjoy! smile

Seems like this error is not fixed even it is 2.71.

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

If you refer to this issue https://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/4321
The fix is part of 2.71.
If you think the issue is not properly fixed, you should reopen the issue.
But be sure to provide sufficient information to the devs so they can see what's going on.

Also remember that my Transmission builds by default accept encrypted peer connections, but won't request them. For that you have to change the encryption option (it's '-ep' if I remember correctly).

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

Everyone has those annoying HTML characters like this:

"Downloading from 8 of 11 peers - ↓ 76 kB/s ↑ 13 kB/s "

Or is it just me?

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

That was introduced in 2.61ish. I believe it was fixed in 2.70

Well, I just upgraded to 2.71 and it still isn't fixed.

EDIT: Nevermind, Chrome just needed to clear the cache and it's fixed. Thanks.

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

Hi there

I've been using Transmission for ages now on my DNS323.
Lately I've upgrade my PC to Win7 and I've got the following problem

- Transmission deamon has been made with the nobody user (using the wiki's command line)
- Downloaded files therefore have the 'nobody' user permissions
- I've set SAMBA user in the Web Interface on my DNS323 (Netwrok access)
-I've used this user to connect to the DNS323 in Win7

==> I can't modify / move downloaded files from Win7 as it says :

"You need permission to do this action"
"You require permission from Unix User\nobody to make change to this file"

Any tips please ?
Cheers,
Fr3d

PS Even with "All user" (aka guest I think) set in the "Network Access" I can't get it to modify / move files.

Re: [REL] Transmission 1.3

I find with more recent versions of transmission that the DNS-323 can't deliver enough CPU to the web client.  If transmission is leeching many torrents or if it is pre-caching torrents, the web client will not load and times-out.  I'm not sure if this is because the transmission has become more heavy with each new version (added features tends to do this), or if it's because the web client is given a low process priority.

Is there any way to seperate the web client task from the transmission process so that it is given its own PID?
I'd like to prioritize (nice) the web client above the rest of transmission.  I don't mind if pre-caching or download speeds are slowed, I want the web client to load as a top priority above all else.

I run a stand alone client and don't have any issues.
