Hello,

I have been using my box as media server for some time now.
I started with the internal one but was quickly disappointed by its limitations and bad compatibility with players.
So I went on the eternal quest of better media server, tested minidlna and media tomb (as those were the 2 with funpkg builds).
After no build of mediatomb would allow me to watch anything (even though the admin interface and all were showing, no file would be played) I chose minidlna.
I have been using an old build now from some time (1.0.22) as it s the only one working on my box, even though I tried every other build out there.
I know there are some others servers (Plex, UMS...) out there and apparently none of them already have a funpkg build yet.
Has anyone built something else ? Feedback...

minidlna 1.1.0 is available here http://kylek.is-a-geek.org:31337/files/ffp/0.7-oabi/ ... Didn't it work for you? I installed it under ffp07, and firmware 1.10 and works fine.

Is there anything wrong with minidlna? Why would you like to change it? (I'm not questioning your decision, but only interested in the information, since it might be useful for me and others )

I might retry a newer build
I have been running a lot of tests
My samsung TV does not like the way minidlna sends the internal subs of the MKV files
