Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Linux illiterate needs help getting lighttpd working properly.
I'm running ffp .07, I had NZBGETWEB running fine on previous versions of ffp.
I decided to upgrade everything and start from scratch.
I believe all packages and dependencies are installed except for PHP.
I'm using packages from the default slacker repositories for oabi devices.
I have not compiled anything myself.
The problem I believe is fastcgi is not starting.
I've spent many hours configuring ".ini" and ".conf" files to no avail.
Here is the error log:
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (log.c.166) server started
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (mod_fastcgi.c.1103) the fastcgi-backend /ffp/bin/php-cgi failed to start:
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (mod_fastcgi.c.1114) terminated by signal: 11
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (mod_fastcgi.c.1119) to be exact: it segfaulted, crashed, died, ... you get the idea.
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (mod_fastcgi.c.1121) If this is PHP, try removing the bytecode caches for now and try again.
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (mod_fastcgi.c.1397) [ERROR]: spawning fcgi failed.
2012-11-24 18:22:39: (server.c.945) Configuration of plugins failed. Going down.
When I run "php -v" , I get the following:
PHP 5.4.0 (cli) (built: Mar 15 2012 19:14:51)
Copyright (c) 1997-2012 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.4.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2012 Zend Technologies
I read some tutorials that said PHP should be (cli+cgi) or something like that and not (cli)
Please help.
If more details or debugging is need please explain how to do so as I am not fluent in command line.
Thank You all.

Could you try to use PHP-5.3.9 with slacker ?
I try to compile php 5.4.x without problem but when I try to use it with fast_cgi it bugs...
I revert to php 5.3.9 without issue.

php -v
segmentation fault
I used the default php.ini file and not the one I had edited.
What are the essential changes that need to be made to the php.ini file?

Used info in this thread to install the correct combination of PHP packages and libraries that are all compatible.
Finally got this fixed and got my NZBGet running again.

What environment do you use now?
What versions of what packages? lighttpd / php / other libs?
