Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
I originally tried installing funplug a while ago, and it didn't work.
I wanted to try again, but I'm stuck with a directory of:
\\DNS-323\Volume_1\ffp
Now when I try to delete it, it says:
You require permission from Unix User\root to make changes to this folder.
I've tried giving myself explicit access in the network access section, however that didn't seem to work.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.

You'll need to do that from telnet/ssh as user root.

Isn't that a bit of a catch 22 then? For me to try a fresh install of ffp I need to have ffp installed to delete the existing one?

Not necessarily - you can reformat the drive - or - if you're running standard volumes, swap the drives, or if you have another SATA drive, temporarily install that, install fun_plug and then make the changes to the original drive.

Or just a script fun_plug with this :
rm -rf /mnt/HD_a2/ffp
put it on \\DNS-323\Volume_1\
and restart the NAS ?

No problem
it's works since fun_plug script is executed by root user... so it have permission to delete all files / folders.
