I am currently running ffp 0.5 with cleanboot 2.1. Both are installed and are running from the hard disk. I would really like to upgrade to ffp 0.7. Is cleanboot 2.1 required ?

Hi, does ffp 0.7 slove the error message "EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended" when the NAS is shutdown/rebooted ?
Thanks very much.

ffp 0.7 does not solve this problem.

Has anybody tried using Cleanboot 2.1 with ffp 0.7 ? does it prevent the error message "EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended"
Cheers

I have installed ffp 0.7 in my DNS-323. Didn't realize about the cleanboot pkg to avoid disk problems before. I couldn't of course install the cleanboot for ffp05 version (didn't install with an error) but I can still see the EXT2 warnings, so this ffp 07 alone doesn't solve the issue.
I'm also interesting on knowing how to safely work with ffp07. Does it exist cleanboot for 07? How bad could it get if it is not installed? Could my data be damaged? I have only installed ffp so far, no additional packages. Would it be better to install ffp05 and cleanboot?

Well, since there was no answer, I tried again installing cleanboot in my DNS-323 with ffp07, by renaming the file as indicated in:
http://dns323.kood.org/howto:cleanboot# … n_plug_0.5
Every command ran ok with no error messages. I rebooted via the web admin panel. It took a bit longer than usual, but it rebooted ok. I opened a ssh session and issued a dmesg, but still get the errors:
ext3: No journal on filesystem on sda4
EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended
ext3: No journal on filesystem on sdb4
EXT2-fs warning: mounting unchecked fs, running e2fsck is recommended

I ran ps -el to check the processes running (I'm not a linux guy so I googled it) but I can't see anything listed like cleanboot
So, how do I know if the cleanboot is running ok? Is there a log of the booting process showing what is loaded and possible errors?
