mediatomb 0.12.1: all MP3 end up in "Unknown"

Hi,

After installing funplug 0.7 (according to the http://wolf-u.li/nas/tutorials/ffp/ or the english version under http://nas-tweaks.net/371/hdd-installat … s-devices/) I wanted to get mediatomb running. So I fetched http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ … oarm-1.txz (using "slacker -i" included in the funplug-package mentioned above) and installed it. No problems with that.

However after firing up mediatomb and making it search my directories containing MP3-files on the NAS I discovered that mediatomb obviously didn't extract any info from the MP3 tags; so all my MP3 ended up in the "Unknown" category.

So in the "Database"-view under "Artists" I got "Unknown" only and within that there are all my songs. Same goes for "Genres": Only "Unknown" under "Genres" with all songs sitting in "Unknown".

Likewise for "Albums" and "Years".

So I went ahead and ran "mediatomb --compile-info"

# ./mediatomb --compile-info

Interestingly enough it says "taglib missing" and "id3lib disabled". To me this means this version of mediatomb was compiled without support for MP3-tags.

So here are my questions:

o) Has anybody else seen this problem?

o) Any cure against this?

o) Is there a version of mediatomb 0.12.1 out there with support for MP3-tags?

Thanks much in advance for your help!

Re: mediatomb 0.12.1: all MP3 end up in "Unknown"

I'm getting the same thing on a DNS-325. I made sure that taglib was installed and then removed & re-installed mediatomb, but I'm still seeing the same thing in the --compile-info output. Did you ever find a solution?
