HDD not Spinning down too

Sorry for the double post but i'm determined to get to the bottom of whats causing my HDD to wake-up every 3-5 minutes. Here's my set up:

-i'm running ffp 0.5 off a usb stick
-firmware 1.09 (2x 1TB drives; individual disk configuration)
-have 5 or 6 rsynch jobs scheduled to run once a month
-no bittorrent add-on; no twonky installed either

I uninstalled transmission, and all server services (ftp, unpnp, itunes, dhcp)- i disconnected the network cable but the unit keeps waking up.
Any suggestions?

Here's a list of running processes:

One of my HDD just crapped out after not even 4 years of use from what i suspect waking up every 3-5 minutes. I always manually removed any seeded torrents. Am i being too paranoid?
Tnx.

Re: HDD not Spinning down too

I seem to have resolved my problem,  i got rid of the lpr/lpd processes and uninstalled/reinstalled Transmission- the unit now sleeps on a long term basis. I still wasnt able to identify or eliminate the specific process that was causing the problem.

Hi,

does anyone have a clue what could be stopping my NAS from hibernation? Tried killing some of these processes with no luck. Please tell me if you have some suspects on that list. 😉
