DSM-G600, DNS-3xx and NSA-220 Hack Forum

Ok, I've built Transmission 2.83 for ffp-0.5 using Mijzelf's chroot instructions.
I have no idea if this actually worked correctly, so use cautiously!

Let me know if there are any issues with it.

Transmission-2.83-1.tgz

Here are the commands I use to create packages, on the example of Transmission:

$ make
$ make DESTDIR=$HOME/devel/releases/Transmission-2.83 install-strip
$ cd  #back to home folder
$ tar cf - -C ~/devel/releases/Transmission-2.83 --owner=root --group=root . | gzip -9c > Transmission-2.83-1.tgz

As soon as I can find some free time, I'll try to build Transmission for ffp-0.7-oabi as well.

Transmission 2.83 is now available for all platforms.
Get the download links from the first post, or use slacker (ffp-0.7 only).

Please note that all 3 versions were compiled on a Zyxel NSA325, which has somewhat different hardware and runs a newer Linux than DNS-32x devices.
For ffp-0.7oabi and ffp-0.5 I used a chroot environment to compile.
These versions were not tested!

I am having this issue: can't load library 'libevent-2.0.so.5' for Transmission-2.83-arm-1.txz

Hm.
After few hours of tinkering I finally posted previous post, just to find libevent package 5 minutes later. So, if anyone need a packet, you can find it at - http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ … /0.7/oabi/

Just funkpkg -i that packet and Transmission works like a charm.

Please help me with the installation with Transmission 2.83

I was receiving same the error "can't load library 'libevent-2.0.so.5' for Transmission-2.83-arm-1.txz" after upgrading from 2.83 on my DNS-325 (FFP 0.7)

I was trying to get build environment configured to build my own version.

When I executed.
# /configure --prefix=/ffp --disable-cli --disable-gtk --disable-nls --without-inotify

I received an error that LIBEVENT was not found even though it's on my DNS-325 in the /ffp/lib/ directory. 

I download this version from
http://downloads.zyxel.nas-central.org/ … -arm-0.txz

and installed it manually.
# funpkg -i libevent-2.0.16-arm-0.txz

The package is installing it in /ffp/funpkg/installed/

Now 2.83 is working fine.

In the end, I couldn't get the build to compete due to the following error.
config.status: error: cannot find input file: `po/Makefile.in.in'

I received this wrong when I try to start a Transmission...

transmission-daemon: can't load library 'libevent-2.0.so.5'

I can`t find this lib in my DNS320.
