SMB flakiness

I have ffp running on my DNS323 to enable telnet and rsync and it has a static IP address on my wired LAN.

As of today, SMB is exhibiting flakiness in that Windows clients that have the drives mounted as drive-letters will sometimes complain that they cannot access these network drives.

I can telnet into these machines and can even run rsync jobs; it is only SMD access that is intermittent.

Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: SMB flakiness

I decided to run a Scan Disk from the GUI on each of my hard drives, set the machine to factory state, redid all the config settings and reinstalled ffp.

Everything is working now and am hoping it stays that way for a while!
