Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

telnet security (KRH) + rsync + ssh?

dear dns-323 users---I just got one of these.  nice.  I immediately upgraded to 1.03.  alas, now I have some basic questions:

I got the telnet fun_plug from the website http://dns323.kood.org/howto:telnet via http://dns323.kood.org/_media/howto:ute … che=cache, and installation was easy.  alas, to my surprise, telnet did not ask for a username and pw.  now, I understand that telnet is not secure, but this is a little too insecure even for me.  should telnet access not be restricted at least to, say, ftp users?

Has someone put together an rsync fun_plug for the DNS323?  that would make it a nicer backup destination...

It would also be nice to have an ssh server without having to do installations.  Isn't it possible to create a distribution similar to KRH's telnet installation?

advice appreciated.
