chroot and mount Volume_1 for Samba

Hi,

I want to use the newer Samba that I have installed in my chroot'd Debian install. I shut down the built-in Samba server and can start the new one just fine. I created the users and can authenticate.

The problem is that I don't know how to offer the volume at /mnt/HD_a1 through a chroot'd Samba. This running Samba obviously doesn't see anything outside its own environment.

Is there a way to expose the volume at /mnt/HD_a1 to this running Samba?

Thanks.

Re: chroot and mount Volume_1 for Samba

The mount should be available in the chroot environment at etch/mnt/HD_a1 (which were made using the mount --bind command, from the example fun_plug for autostarting debian). You can then modify smb.conf to point to this location within the debian root.
