Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Convert Single Disk to RAID1

Hi, There has been mention on the forum of a process to convert from running a single disk (single volume) into RAID1 by adding a new disk, critically without losing data. I'm unable to find the exact details for how to do it though.

I have a single disk in my DNS-323, and would like to create a mirrored array by adding another disk without needing to reformat the existing disk.

I have funplug installed (telnet access etc)

If I understand the principles correctly, I would assume we are trying to convince the NAS that it *is* already configured as a RAID1 device with a broken mirror, so that when the blank disk is added, the mirror rebuilds.
