You could try the built in backup or 'Schedule downloads' section where you can specify file or folders to be backed up on a spesific date or
recurring backup. Maybe not what you are after, but atleast its there

What you have to do is to define a Logon Account in Backup Exec that have access to the DNS-323 box.
Also in Backup Exec Tool options, make sure you have
- Network tab - Enable selection of user shares checked
- Backup tab - Backup up data in Remote Storage checked

Backup Exec WILL backup the files but you will still get a warning that it cannot initialized the remote agent on that box.
