Problem with AUTOCAD 2007 LT

DNS 323, RAID 1, firmware 1.03

If I open an autocad file on another computer (using UNC name), no problem

If I open the same file on the DNS-323 (using UNC or Zsmile  everytime I save, I have an autocad error, and it saves the file as a tmp file, same folder as the one I'm using.

The computer is clean.

I'm thinking Autocad is not compatible with samba/EXT2, but it seems weird..

Re: Problem with AUTOCAD 2007 LT

I'm now fairly sure it's problem between Samba and Autocad, but Autodesk is saying "that's not our problem"
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps … ID=9240817
"This means that behavior not reproducible between a Microsoft® Windows® server and a Microsoft Windows client is considered a network product deviation, not an abnormality in the Autodesk software."

I'm a bit angry with autodesk, since Word or Excel works perfectly...

Hello Guillaume,

I am not sure about your version of AutoCad, but I am using ACAD 2000 and have no such problem.
I can save and read AutoCad files without any error messages.

Using DNS-323 with 2*500MByte Seagates in Raid 1 FW 1.03

Re: Problem with AUTOCAD 2007 LT

Googling on autocad and samba show that there seems to be a few issues between autocad and samba.
It is an old version of samba in the current firmware. I guess your best bet is that D-Link releases 1.04 soon.
