Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Hi,
I just stumpled upon another method of "manipulating" the DNS 323 config. I don't know if this has been mentioned before.
As you probably noticed you can save the DNS 323 configuration through the web interface (tools/system/configuration settings). The file being save to your PC is a normal text file which has a lot of parameters in clear text. So you can edit these and load the changed config file back through the web interface.
It seems that these parameters are stored into flash after loading the config file, afterwards the DNS323 reboots.
Probably a little bit more dangerous way. I am not sure if a faulty config file could brick the DNS. I leave it to others to test that. ;-)
Cheers

you can change the conf files whit telnet and mounting the md0/1 much safer.
I guess writing to flash will never be 100% safe.
For some simple changes I consider this being safe enough. And you don't have to install funplug etc at all.
