Wich Windows audio player

Hello,

I use my dns 323 with the following client devices for playing music either with the internal upnp server or with TwonkyMedia :

- Linux/Rhythmbox,
- Linux/Amarok,
- D-Link DSM 320R

I do not use the iTunes server.

I was wondering which WINDOWS clients maybe used to play music (upnp client music player) ???

Thx

Laurent

- Linux/Amarok

I've googled a bit: http://amarok.kde.org/blog/archives/374 … ndows.html

Releasedate seems to be soon.

Didn't find other alternatives to using itunes on windows for "streaming". But i didn't google very hard.

Edit:
Found another one, which seems to be capable of playing upnp on windows:
http://music.yahoo.com/jukebox
http://plugins.yme.music.yahoo.com/arch … sic_u.html

And it seems like there is a Plugin for VLC for upnp

Commercial: Nero Showtime/MediaHome
WinAmp, using the commercial On2Share UPnP plugin.

For PDA with Windows Mobile: http://www.rudeo.com/playctrl.htm

Re: Wich Windows audio player

I've been looking for the same thing - Tried On2Share for WMP, but I couldn't make it work, or I didn't understand how it was supposed to work. Will try the Yahoo player. Saw the VLC plugin too, but just mentioned.
Update: Installed the Yahoo Player, and it seems like the uPnP plugin is now integral to the player?!? (The plugin is dated March 2005)
At work right now, but will try at home ASAP.
Update: Somewhat successful. Initially, the Yahoo Player didn't find any upnp server, but all of a sudden my DSM-G600 was there. Tried to refresh, and after a long, long, wait (even tho I only have 4 albums in the upnp AV folder) the connection was lost. After this, I wasn't able to connect to the DSM any more. Will continue to toy with this...

Re: Wich Windows audio player

Ok.

I managed to make it works with the Yahoo player (ex MusicMatch) out of the box.
The vlc plugin is an old stuff for past version. Didn't get it to work.
Amarok is not yet available for windows unless you compile it. I'm too lazzy ;-)
WM 11 + OnShare : didn't get it to work (decrytion something error) but it's not free !!
