does the Dns-323 support *.srt and other subtitle files when streaming to XBMC ?
best regards

The build-in upnp server does not support srt files (very frustrating!) and i'm streaming to a dlink dsm-520. The funny thing is that the Conceptronic CH3SNAS is capable of handling the srt files, so i hope in future firmware updates of the dlink dns-323 this option will be included.
If there is anybody who knows how to get the srt's going, please let us know (already running oxyl for showcenter 200 and this does display the srt's).

XBMC and DNC works perfectly fine. Go for it!!
From XBMC, just mount whatever part of the DNS discs you like using SMB and you're home. From XBMC point of view, the DNS will be just another disc and watching movies with .srt files or whatever works just fine.
The only thing you cannot use the DNS for playing backup games - those still needs to be on the HD. But hey, that has nothing to with XBMC.
I'm using XMBC+DNS for all my media needs. The only thing that bothers me is that when I have a movie on two "CD's", there will be a small glitch while XBMC switches from one media file to another.
I honestly think that this is the best way of working with XBMC. I mean, which UPnP server supports on-the-fly un-raring of movies?!? That will work out-of-the-box in the XBMC+DNS solution.
