I've got two of these boxes and I've had pretty good luck with them.
I'm running Raid1 and EXT3 and haven't had a bit of problem. I noticed that there is 102.02 firmware available, so I may update one unit and slip back to EXT2 and see what happens.
At any rate, I was searching and came across a site that had a list of files, that are contained on the DNS-323. More than posted here.

that's the GPL source for the firmware for the DNS-323.
i'm new to this site, but I'm assuming that's what you guys are all using for your firmware hacks?
