Hi all! I have been looking around this forum and reading the whole 25 pages to see something interesting.
So far, I see a lot of potential in this little black thing
Alright, my question then...
I have a couple of NO-IP domains registeres and I would like to run the no-ip client in the machine. The windows one is pretty much easy to set up, but althoght I made it in the past, I have no idea if this could work in the DNS-323.
Anyone configured this? Or maybe, found a way to found out for IP if you are not at home? I thought about gettint a simple script to enter www.whatismyip.com or something like that and send me an email with it but I think it would take a bit of research for me.
So the bottom line is that I would like to have a way to know which is my public IP address if I am not at home.
Thanks!!

Hi, I currently have NO-IP service also. I have a D-LINK WBR-2300 router, and the no-ip is set up through the DDNS options in the router, then I have a virtual server on the router that sends port 80 coming in from the internet to the port that the web server runs on within the DNS-323. I am not sure how you would run a no-ip client on the DNS itself.

Nice. Thanks for the reply. So you actually added the DNS NO-IP gave you in the router right? I have an old Linksys router but I will check that.
Also, did you make any change in the IPTABLES of the DNS? I cant seem to connect to my router even with the forwarding rules I set up. I dont want to touch the iptables if I dont have to.
Thanks!
Edit: Upgraded the Firmware of my device. It was from October 2003!!! Now I have DDNS
