Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.
You are not logged in.
Added the busybox binary from source.pri.ee and edited my fun_plug. Now the DSM-G600 won't finish it's boot. The power light just blinks for hours. Doesn't show on my LAN and won't respond to pings.
How can I get back into the box and edit that fun_plug?
I'm on OSX, so putting that ext2/3 formatted disc in a external case and mounting it really isn't an option... any ideas?
Also, has anyone tried putting mt-daapd on the box to turn it into a iTunes shared library?
Thanks.

Try to remove internal disk, see if DSM-G600 will boot without a disk. If succeeded then you might try to mount this disk externally with one of your DSM-G600 usb port.

thanks for the tip. before i had to do that, i rebooted the box 2-3 more times and it eventually started.

First, awesome site, can't wait to start hacking.
I've been having the same issue, takes half a dozen reboots for it to start 'clean' I guess. Got telnet up and working though at least.
One question, not actually related, but I noticed only a few of the binaries have instructions packaged with them. For those that don't, was there some site of reference or is it asumed we are to be smart enough to do something with them on our own?
Thanks in advance.

You can freely ask help If you have drouble using some binaries.
Also you can always use /mnt/HD_a2/<insert binary name here> --help or find some info using Google
