I did a search first, but could not find my answer in an existing thread.
I have a DNS-323 which I would like to set up the FTP server for. I have followed the instructions and have basic network knowledge, but clearly I am doing something basic wrong.
I can start up the server with access provided to both Anonymous and defined user ID, but when ever I attempt to connect to the server at root or at a specific directory I get an Invalid User ID/Password message. I am trying this on my internal network. I can ping the IP (192.168.1.12) and I can see that port 21 is open. I have tried connecting both by entering the IP in the Finder (OS X) or via and FTP client (Fetch). Both result in the same error message.
I'm really stumped.
Does anyone have a link to refer me to or a quick answer?
