Firmware 1.03 and I still have 2.0GB file limit

I am having trouble storing files over 2GB on DNS323 (w/ 1.03 firmware).

The source machine is Ubuntu Linux, SMB mount to the DNS323 using the following command in the fstab:

//dns323/volume_1 /storage1 smbfs credentials=/home/rwong/.smbpasswd,uid=rwong,gid=rwong 0 0

Anytime I wanted to store huge files it would stop right at the 2GB mark.

I thought 1.03 was supposed to fix that, but then I noticed in some threads here people mentioned similar problems with Linux.  I am wondering if anyone has any input on how I can resolve this.

I wish I have a Windows machine to test my DNS323 but my Windows laptop just crashed last night, and the whole  reason I need to dump huge files to my DNS323 was because of data recovery.

Thank you in advance.
