Using an IDE-to-SATA converter with DNS-323

Hi all,

Has anyone ever tried using a normal IDE/PATA HDD with a SATA converter on the DNS-323? Reason I'm asking is that I've a bunch of 250Gb drives currently being used as external USB drives and I'd rather use a converter and reuse these drives inside the DNS-323, if possible.

Appreciate any feedback. Thanks

No - but I can tell you - even if they do work electrically, and I see no reason why they shouldn't - they won't fit internally.  In the DNS-323 the drives plug directly into the SATA connector (both power and data) and there is no room to fit anything in between.

Thank you for your feedback; I kind of guessed that it'll be a tight squeeze if I decided on this avenue.
