I posted this as a followup in another thread (http://dns323.kood.org/forum/viewtopic. … 31&p=7) - but I think it might be more correct to launch a new thread on this issue:
I've installed the MLDonkey client using Craft's Allinone(AIO) package, but I can not seem to get a connection to any servers :-S
Ports are open through my FW, MLDonkey is running and using the MlDonkey web interface - if I paste a torrentlink into the "DL" window it starts to D/L the torrent
But I'd like to use it as a eDonkey client etc. to search for files - but with no connection to any servers that does not work at all...
- using the "search" option in the webinterface it just says I'm not connected, none of the lists contain any servers, and trying to import a server.met file fails with a "unknown kind" error....
Any ideas out there?

In this all-in-one package i'm using the mldonkey pack from shadowandy - and this pack is only for torrents - the edonkey is disabled.
This is the "lite" version.
But you can find the "full" version on shadowandy's website - http://www.shadowandy.net/_html/archive … NS-323.zip
First you have to kill the mlnet core - Kill core on the webpage.
After this, delete the file mlnet in lnx_bin folder - and copy the new mlnet file.
Restart your dns-323.

Thank you :-) I should have noticed that - I did see sever versions was compiled with/without eDonkey....
Now I've run into another problem "bind failed: Address already in use at port 6881..exiting" from the mlnet.log
I'm assuming theres som config error I've made that made some other program run on the same port, or might there be another reason?
as I'm pretty much an idiot in linux - what is the command to list open ports? or would it be easier to change the port in config to listen to some other port:-o

Try some other port. I'm using the 6882 port.
