Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

I recently purchased a DNS323, with 2 WD SE16 500GB SATA2 drives, in Raid 1 config.
I have not been able to get my printer to work with it yet.
After following all the directions in the manual (*ugh*), and finding the right directions on this forum to setup my printer (such as setting the "\\<ipaddress>\lp" as a local port) I am still unable to print.
I have a Dell 922 All-In-one printer. According to Dell, the print server needs to support bi-directional printing via USB. J Mclellan at DLink Tech support replied with "The DNS-323 does not offer bi-directional support for the printer. This option is usually only available when connected to a PC, as it requires more processing power."
(I personally don't believe the statement about the processing power, it seems like a copout to me.)
Does any one know if the lack of bidriectional printer support is a hardware limitation or a software limitation?
and if in software -- what, if any, is the *fix*?
Also has anyone successfully setup up a multi-function printer device on the DNS323?
(if not I would like to find a print server that does support Bidirectional printers).
Thanks in advance!

It's a little hard to remember that far back, but I believe I did get an HP PSC1210 functional with the DNS-323, by disabling the bi-directional support in the driver and using only the print functionality - however - the DNS-323 definitely does NOT support the scan functionality.
Try the Netgear PS121v2 - make sure you get the v2 - because the v1 does not support multifunction.
