Excuse me? The only way the DNS-323 FTP server works behind a Linksys WRT54GS NAT/Router is the following:
1) Go into WRT54GS under Applications&Games\Port Range Forward and change the Start/End to 21, Portocol: Both, and finally the IP is the DNS-323's LAN IP (ie. 192.168.1.105)
2) In the DNS-323 FTP Server, change it to Port: 21
Thats it.
The stupid DNS-323's FTP Server **DOES NOT ** work with any other port "out of the box with NAS" except the default and always working, Port 21.
Hacking the DNS-323 via telnet to force it to work is still unknown if it will work. I am VERY leary of "bricking" my 323 since I'm working with Asus to get my high-end mobo RMA'ed so if D-link is very bad at support then I can't imagine how long it would take me to get back up.
Anyway, are you talking about "Port Triggering"? I'd like to get this resolved.

Ah hell something is really messing with me.. Now my 323 FTP site works on the high ports now.
I'm connecting to the FTP server via its DynDns name on a high port. The LAN shows the 323 now on 192.168.1.101 (since my newer comp was removed from the network for mobo RMA'ing and the 323's older LAN IP was 192.168.1.105) and my secondary comp is 192.168.1.100. So now the 323's FTP Server is off 21 and on the higher port which wasn't working before. WTF!??! I'm confused. No matter what I tried before it never worked properly (giving me major directory errors trying to read the root of the 323). Now, it works like a fart. Ughh.. technology. I need a twinkie.
Edit: Ahhh crap nevermind.. I was using an older version of 5.0.1 which can connect to my FTP Server on its high port BUT if I use FlashFXP v3.0.2 it gives me the same errors as I've always had.

So why does an older FTP client work yet a slightly newer one does not? This is screwy folks.
