Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

Does fun_plug get wiped after new firmware?

I just loaded fun_plug and telnetd...great stuff!

Now, what happens when they release 1.04 and I want to upgrade? Once I upgrade, does fun_plug get wiped or does it stay in place?

Thanks..

Re: Does fun_plug get wiped after new firmware?

fun_plug is on the disk, the firmware upgrade writes to flash memory, so fun_plug remains untouched.

This does not mean that fun_plug will continue to function, depending on what changes have made in the firmware, the modules that make up the fun_plug may need modification.

Re: Does fun_plug get wiped after new firmware?

In that case it probably will work with the 1.04 final release - BUT - the thing about beta software, is that it's .. well - beta software, what's in it may not make it to the final release, and additional stuff could be added.

Where does that put us?  Same place - depending on what changes have made in the firmware, the modules that make up the fun_plug may need modification.
