dlink-XXXXXX device showing in Vista Network Browser???

Anyone connecting to DNS-323 via a Vista client?

I've got mine working and everything works great but when I goto Network browser in Explorer I not only see the DNS-323 as a network share but I also see it as an installable device... When I double click it or right click it and choose install it attempts to install "PnPX Device Association" but it fails because it says no driver found... even tried putting in the disk that came with it.

Does anyone know why this device shows under Network and what it is for? Is there a way to successfully install it? There doesn't seem to be any mention of this in any of the documentation.

Thanks!

I don't use Vista, but the DNS-323 will show up in your network browser as a server, and if my memory is correct, the default name is DLink followed by the last few characters of the MAC address.

The DNS-323 is a NAS server, not an external disk enclosure, it appears in your network broswer just as any other SMB/CIF server would.

Oh, I figured out what it was. It was the upnp media server. Does anyone know how to access the media server? How do I see it with WMP11?
