creating shares

Hello,

I have purchased the DSM-G600 and I'm having a problem with it. I can't figure out how to create more than 1 share at any one time. Everytime I try to make a new share it deletes the old one. Is that right? What am I doing wrong?

thanks,
Bryce

Re: creating shares

I remember someone posted a solution to this by providing your own /etc/smb.conf file with the shares you want.  Then restart the samba daemons in fun_plug.  I can't seem to find the post any more.  Maybe sala can dig it up?

Re: creating shares

Thank you.

Why would they do this? Why would you have to hack it to get basic functionality?

Re: creating shares

Because we hack here, if you want proper solution then you should contact D-Link by e-mail and I highly suggest that! Because D-Link cant fix problems if no one is reporting them.
