Unfortunately no one can be told what fun_plug is - you have to see it for yourself.

This has happened to m DNS323 (1.3 firmware) a few times, and my searches haven't turned up any similar reports.
Sometimes (not always), when I trigger a reboot through the admin GUI, the NAS doesn't come back up. After a few minutes, I physically go to the device. The main square blue light is flashing, so I pull the plug. On reconnection, everything looks fine.
However, all admin settings are back to factory defaults. This includes admin password, shares, and mostly important, the RAID-1 settings. The NAS thinks it's got two separate volumes. The drives themselves are fine, and my data is still present on both.
I could live with the slight inconvenience, if it wasn't for the RAID settings. Without these, I have to spend hours backing up, reformatting, and reconfiguring the device.
Has anybody seen anything like this before, or have any suggestions for how I could avoid it?
Thanks.

I'm thinking your box is bad - mine's never done anything like that.
